Greetings:

For those of you that donÕt know me, I am currently the Historian for the Kettenburg PCC. I am writing in an attempt to get what additional information I can regarding each boat. The additional information will serve to up-date the PCC registry section of the Kettenburg Boat Owners Association web site: www.kettenburgboats.com, and the PCC Owners and History section of the Classic Yacht Foundation web site: www.classicyachtfoundation.org

Additionally, as you may or may not know, the Maritime Museum of San Diego is in the process of writing a book about Kettenburg boats. This book is being written by Mark Allen, and should be finished by the end of this year. The book will be co-published by the Maritime Museum of San Diego, and the Mystic Seaport Museum. Raymond Ashley, Executive Director of the Maritime Museum of San Diego has informed me that everyone will be very pleased with the final product.

I am attempting to help the Maritime Museum of San Diego obtain any additional information about Kettenburg PCCs that would be helpful in contributing to the book. Consequently, I am requesting that you send me the following:

* Copies of original published articles, or advertisements

* Copies of original pictures (originals, jpeg, of gif) * Copies of original articles, stories, and information written by you, or others.

Every individual will be given credit for their contribution. You may send me original documents or pictures, which will be returned to you.

I have also enclosed a PCC registry. You will note that I am missing eight original ownerÕs names, and original boat names. I am also missing three original launch dates. I would like any information you may have regarding the missing information.

Also, some of you are/were in the process of selling your boat. Please let me know who you sell your boat to, and preferably a way for me to contact the person.
